Every human being is different from others. Therefore, every individual’s requirement of diet (Ahara) and lifestyle (Vihara), which are based on several factors, will differ. This means a diet and lifestyle (Ahara and Vihara) suitable for one may not be suitable for the other.

To improve and maintain optimum health (based on your constitution), Ayurveda uses food and lifestyle as medicine to correct your imbalances (Vikruti) so that you return to your normal state of health (Prakruti). The third treatment option is Aushadhi (use of herbs and herbo-minerals) which will be prescribed under Panchabhautik Chikitsa

After conducting your functional health assessment, I shall, with your consent, carry out my own examination (Pariksha). The examination will be based on history-taking and questions (Prashnam), observations (Darshanam) of your body and body parts, such as tongue, palms, ears and face: and palpation (Sparshanam) of your pulse and your impacted organs to confirm and validate the results of the functional health assessment.

I shall then have a fair understanding of your current state of Vikruti to identify and recommend the most appropriate diet and lifestyle that will suit your constitutional needs to return to and maintain optimum health.

Further, I shall discuss, agree, and recommend the following, which will be delivered in the form of a report.

• Suitably tailored lifestyle
• Daily and seasonal routines
• A constitutionally appropriate and inappropriate diet with effectiveness values.
• Constitutionally suitable Yogasanas, Pranayama and meditation practices as part of your daily routine.
